And the Sales Just Keep on Coming
It turns out the other LYS is having their spring clearance sale this week. Through Friday, all items are 20% off, and on Saturday, the discount ranges from 20-70% off. This store carries several brands that the other store doesn't; however, they seem to carry only one or two lines of any brand. At least I have a good excuse to check out a new store.

The Cure for the Project Doldrums
Take two months of working on only one project. Combine it with a couple of obligation knits waiting in the stash, and you've created the ideal environment for the knitting doldrums. The cure? Procrastinate a little longer on the "need to knits" and find a quick, easy "want to knit". I personally find a little shot of Miss Bea does the trick. Here's the back of Charlotte's Jumping Dress.
It's amazing how fast a project goes when it's what you want to be knitting.
In other news, Knit Happens Online has finally gone live!

The Smock Summary
The smock is finished, and here's the runway show.
The project is the Child's Smock from the Debbie Bliss Knitting Workbook. I subbed the Jaeger Pure Cotton called for in the pattern with 10 balls of Rowan Wool Cotton color 958 and one ball color 900 to make the biggest size. I was able to obtain gauge with the size 3 and 5 needles called for in the pattern.
I've been a little disheartened that I won't be attending MSWF this year, but then I received a postcard from my LYS announcing their week long anniversary sale. From May 2nd through May 6th, all yarn purchases are 20% off. Then all day Saturday, yarn is 40% off. There's nothing like a big yarn sale to boost the spirits. So, if any of you knitters would like to visit us, the best times to plan a trip are around the beginning of May or the beginning of December so that you can take advantage of the big sales while you're here.
Joshua says "Oh no, not more yarn!"

Charlotte's Blue Smock
The right side and collar went on the blocking board yesterday.
The collar looks so nice now; it was just a twisted mess before it was blocked out.
While waiting for those pieces to dry, I seamed the other parts and bought buttons.
I'd like to have this completed before my monthly craft night on Thursday. I was working on this last time and would really prefer to not carry any projects over from month to month.
