The Smock Summary
The smock is finished, and here's the runway show.
The project is the Child's Smock from the Debbie Bliss Knitting Workbook. I subbed the Jaeger Pure Cotton called for in the pattern with 10 balls of Rowan Wool Cotton color 958 and one ball color 900 to make the biggest size. I was able to obtain gauge with the size 3 and 5 needles called for in the pattern.
I've been a little disheartened that I won't be attending MSWF this year, but then I received a postcard from my LYS announcing their week long anniversary sale. From May 2nd through May 6th, all yarn purchases are 20% off. Then all day Saturday, yarn is 40% off. There's nothing like a big yarn sale to boost the spirits. So, if any of you knitters would like to visit us, the best times to plan a trip are around the beginning of May or the beginning of December so that you can take advantage of the big sales while you're here.
Joshua says "Oh no, not more yarn!"
