Another School Year Over
Charlotte's school ended the year with Wacky Week.
The year seems to have flown by. It's bittersweet knowing that she'll never attend this preschool again. Next year, she'll be in kindergarten, and Joshua will have taken her place here. When we started, Joshua was the baby at home. Now it'll be just Nathaniel and me.
While looking ahead to next year, I finished another Purl Scarf to go in the teacher gift pile.
This one uses three skeins of Debbie Bliss Soho in 35720 and two skeins of Crystal Palace Kid Merino in the solid violet colorway.

Babe in Socks
Despite attempts to foil my plan, Nathaniel now has a pair of knitted blue socks to keep his toes warm.
The kids now know that moths are bad bugs because they eat mommy's yarn, so they've taken it upon themselves to warn me about other bugs, like bees. "Watch out for bees, Mom. They'll sting your yarn!"
After weeks of waiting, Nathaniel got his first tooth Sunday.
Hopefully number two isn't far behind.

Panoply
We took the kids to the Panoply Arts Festival this year. They made cards, masks, crowns, puppets- all kinds of stuff. Here they are a music booth where kids could come up and try real instruments.
Charlotte and Joshua also posed with the living statue lady.
As far as stash reduction goes, I've finished two medium size Critter Knitters.

Another month with Nathaniel has gone by.
He began the weekend with his first stomach bug and ended it with his first taste of carrots. He's up to 27 inches and 15 lb 14 oz. Currently, Nathaniel is in the 25th percentile for weight, 75th for height, and 90th for head size.

My Special Mom
by Charlotte
My Mom is the most wonderful Mom in the whole world.
She is as pretty as a princess.
She weighs 50 lbs and is 100 feet tall.
The thing my mom likes to do best is knit.
Her favorite food is lasagna.
I think mom looks funny when She never ever looks funny!.
My mom and I have fun when we play ponies together.
For Mother's Day I would like to take my mom to the playground.

Nathaniel's Baby Dedication
April 20th, 2008
Almighty and loving God, we thank you for this child, and promise to you to be responsible for him, and ask you for your leadership in the lives of our family. Bless our every effort and draw us closer to each other and most importantly to You. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.
