Baby Blankets
I've been working this month on another ripple afghan for my friend Kim.
It's almost 3/4 of the way done.
While we're talking about baby blankets, House deserves a mention.
The trees are finished in the second section, but construction on the houses has ground to a halt. This project lost its momentum when Joshua cut a hole in it.
It's been repaired, but it doesn't look as good as before. I'll probably sew on a made by mom tag over this section.

Harry
Pattern: Harry from Jaeger #29
Yarn: 1 ball each of RYC Cashsoft in Spa, Jaeger Matchmaker 4 ply in Thyme, Baby Merino 4-ply in Pearl, and 2 balls Baby Merino in Blue Ball
I originally started this sweater for Josh in May 2006. Although all of the pieces were knitted by last September, it took me until now to finish it. Instead of Joshua, this sweater will go to Pollywog in the next couple of years.
The next sweater in the queue is MacDonald. Here is the back.

Here's a pair of socks for the baby. The pattern is Heel and Toe Socks from 50 Baby Bootees to Knit. I used Cashsoft 4ply in Spa and Jaeger Baby Merino 4-ply in Blue Ball.

Char's first day
Charlotte started the four year old preschool class last Wednesday. We've got her going three days a week this year. I don't know who is more excited, me or her.
The end of August is coming up fast, so I finished the rest of my hats for Amelia and hope to send them off tomorrow.

A new hobby
I started taking spinning classes in June and here's what I've produced so far.
The spinning is very relaxing, and I'm getting better at it, so for our anniversary (7 years on August 12th), Mike surprised me with this-
