New Year, New Challenge
I'm finally jumping into a full scale fair isle sweater so I've joined joined the Stranded Colorwork Challenge. The chosen sweater is the Fair Isle Cardigan from Adorable Knits for Tots. Here's the start of the back.
I'm using Rowan Cotton Glace, Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino, and Jaeger Aqua. So far, I've learned that Fair Isle in cotton yarn is a pain. I have my faith set on the magic of blocking.
That is going to be such a cute sweater. I think it looks great, even without the blocking.

Posted by: katie at January 12, 2007 12:55 PMI know what cardigan you are making, I have the same book. I love the pattern so far, your fair isle is very well done, and I think it looks great so far, even without blocking.

Posted by: Beth at January 12, 2007 9:42 PMYour sweater looks beautiful. My first intarsia sweater was done in a mercerized worsted weight cotton. It turned out beautiful, but the tension discrepancies didn't work out as well in blocking as a wool would. I love all the colors in your sweater.
