Vacation: Part 2
More highlights:
- We got to visit with Kirsten, who we haven't seen since we moved.
- Joshua playing with Holly and "Miss" Carol.
- Seeing the giraffes at the National Zoo. (This was Charlotte's favorite animal.)
- Swimming in the hotel pool
- Riding the train at Skyline Caverns
- The views along the Blue Ridge Parkway
- Feeding a baby camel at the petting zoo
- The nice Great Room at the Smoketree Lodge
- Sitting at the top of Chimney Rock
- Hiking to Hickory Nut Falls
- Hiking Waterrock Knob (I did some research here back in '96 through a summer program at Western Carolina University.)
- Knitting and playing ping pong at Middlecreek Valley Chalets
- Visiting the Ripley's Aquarium in Gatlinburg, Tennessee

So funny, but I have a picture of my father-in-law just like Charlotte's picture in the bubble at the aquarium . Charlotte's is MUCH cuter ;-)
