Like Father, Like Son

Mike's socks and Joshua's booties are complete, so both of my guys have had warm feet for the last couple of weeks.

Mike's socks were made using Wendy's toe-up pattern, size 0 dpns, and Regia sock yarn. Joshua's booties were knitted with 3mm needles, Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino (colors 101 and 102), and the Polka Dot Bootees pattern from Adorable Knits for Tots. The only change I made to the pattern was shortening the cuffs by 4 rows due to a lack of yarn. The Cashmerino was leftover from Joshua's striped sweater, and I overestimated how much yarn I had left.
Mike and I spent this past Friday and Sunday in Nashville watching the NCAA Men's Basketball tournament. It was hard watching Tech lose in the second round (especially with the majority of the crowd being Louisville fans), but it was still really neat to actually go to a game and see the team play in person. And to prove that knitting is in the mainstream, one of the fans had a booga bag at Sunday's game.
For those of you clamoring for Charlotte news and pics, I promise to post some tomorrow along with my latest WIP.

What lucky boys to have such gorgeous handmade socks!

When's your next visit to the DC area? =)

Great socks! I have the same color of Regia hiding in my stash.
